BLOCKLIST-LISTED

Listed on a blocklist

What it means

Receivers that use the list reject or junk mail from the address. Listings follow spam complaints, compromised accounts, open relays, missing reverse DNS or being in a bad neighbourhood.

How to fix it

  1. 1Find and stop the cause: scan for compromised mailboxes and web forms, check the server is not an open relay.
  2. 2Fix reverse DNS and make sure the HELO name matches it.
  3. 3Use the delisting link for each list; most process requests within a day.
  4. 4Add a Watch so a repeat listing alerts you.

Re-check after the change

DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to be seen; use Re-run on the result page to bypass our 10-minute cache.
