The terms on which The Email Shop Ltd provides whois.me.uk.

1. Who we are
whois.me.uk is operated by The Email Shop Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16879797), registered office 8 Brookdale Drive, Littleover, Derby, DE23 3YY, trading address Suite 16-17, Parker House, Mansfield Road, Derby, DE21 4SZ ("we", "us"). Contact: support@theemailshop.co.uk.
2. The service
whois.me.uk provides technical lookups about domain names, IP addresses and mail systems: registry data over RDAP and WHOIS, DNS records, email-authentication records, blocklist status, TLS certificate details and reachability tests. Results are produced automatically from third-party sources at the moment of the request and are provided for information only.
3. Using the service
You may use the free tools for reasonable, manual, human-driven lookups. The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms and sets out what is not permitted, including automated access outside the API, bulk harvesting of registration data and tests against systems you are not authorised to test.
We may limit, throttle or suspend access that we consider abusive or that risks the service, our data sources or other users, without notice.
4. Accounts and paid plans
You must provide accurate details when you create an account and keep your credentials and API keys secure. Paid plans are billed in advance in pounds sterling; prices are shown excluding VAT where VAT applies. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and end at the close of the billing period. Annual plans may be cancelled for a full refund within 14 days of first purchase. Plan limits are described on the pricing page and may be adjusted with notice.
5. Accuracy and availability
Registries, DNS servers, blocklists and remote hosts are outside our control. Data may be incomplete, delayed, cached (typically for ten minutes) or wrong, and a test that succeeds from our probe may fail elsewhere. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any result is fit for a particular purpose. Do not rely on a result as the sole basis for a commercial, legal or security decision.
6. Third-party data and terms
Registry data is subject to the terms of the registry that publishes it, which we display with the raw data where they are provided. You must comply with those terms, including any restriction on bulk use or marketing.
7. Intellectual property
The site, its design, text, finding codes and software are ours or our licensors'. You may share result pages and use exported data for your own purposes with attribution to whois.me.uk. You may not copy the site or present its output as your own service.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability arising from the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or £100 if you paid none.
9. Changes
We may update these terms by publishing a new version here. Material changes to paid plans will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
