How to ask for personal data to be removed from cached registry text or history.

Registries decide what they publish about a domain. We display that data as it is served to us and cache it for a short time. If a registry publishes personal information about you and you want it removed from whois.me.uk:

  1. Ask the registrar or registry to redact the record at source. For .uk domains this is usually the registrar's privacy option or Nominet's opt-out for non-trading individuals. Once the registry stops publishing the data, our cache follows within hours.
  2. If you need the cached copy removed sooner, email support@theemailshop.co.uk with the domain name and the data concerned. We will remove the cached raw text and any stored snapshot containing the personal data, normally within five working days, and confirm by email.

Domain owners who verify their domain (available with accounts) can also opt the domain's pages out of search-engine indexing.

We cannot alter what the registry itself publishes, and we cannot remove technical data that is not personal (nameservers, dates, status codes).
