WHOIS lookup
Registrar, dates, nameservers and status for any domain.
What this check does
See who a domain is registered through, when it was registered and when it expires, which nameservers it uses and which status locks apply. Data comes straight from the registry over RDAP, with the classic WHOIS text alongside.
- Registrar name, IANA ID and, for .uk names, the IPS tag
- Registration, last-update and expiry dates with an expiry warning
- Delegated nameservers with their addresses
- EPP status codes explained in plain language
- Whether registrant details are published or withheld
- Availability, with a link to register free names
Questions
- Why are the owner details hidden?
- UK and EU privacy rules mean registries withhold personal contact details. We show exactly what the registry publishes and never try to fill the gaps from other sources.
- What is RDAP?
- RDAP is the structured successor to the WHOIS protocol. Nominet switches off its text WHOIS in February 2027, so .uk lookups here are RDAP-first.
