DNS-NO-APEX-A

The bare domain has no address

What it means

Visitors who type the domain without www get nothing. Many also expect the apex to redirect to the canonical host.

How to fix it

  1. 1Add an A (and AAAA) record at the apex pointing at the web server, or use your DNS provider's ALIAS/ANAME to the www host.
  2. 2Make the apex redirect to your canonical host.

Re-check after the change

DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to be seen; use Re-run on the result page to bypass our 10-minute cache.
