DOMAIN-EXPIRED
The domain registration has expired
What it means
Once a domain passes its expiry date it enters a grace period, then redemption, then deletion. During grace the site and mail usually keep working for a while; in redemption they stop and restoring costs extra; after deletion anyone can register the name.
How to fix it
- 1Log in at the registrar shown on the Registry facet and renew immediately.
- 2If the registrar says the domain is in redemption, pay the restore fee rather than waiting for deletion.
- 3Turn on auto-renew and check the card on file has not expired.
- 4Add a Watch so you are warned 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before the next expiry.
Re-check after the change
DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to be seen; use Re-run on the result page to bypass our 10-minute cache.
