What it means

A 5xx reply to RCPT TO means the server will not deliver to that name. The usual causes are a typo, a deleted account, or a mailbox that was never created.

How to fix it

  1. 1Check the spelling of the mailbox name.
  2. 2If the mailbox is new, give the mail system a few minutes and re-check.
  3. 3If it is yours and should exist, create it in the mail control panel.

Re-check after the change

DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to be seen; use Re-run on the result page to bypass our 10-minute cache.
