A long delay at one hop
What it means
The Received: timestamps show where a message waited. A hop that took minutes points at a queue, greylisting, a content scanner or a server under load.
How to fix it
- 1If the slow hop is your own server, check its queue and anti-spam scanning.
- 2If it is the receiver's, there is nothing to fix on your side.
Re-check after the change
DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to be seen; use Re-run on the result page to bypass our 10-minute cache.
