IP-GENERIC-PTR
Reverse DNS looks generic
What it means
A PTR such as 203-0-113-10.dynamic.isp.example marks the address as a consumer or unassigned host; many mail receivers reject such senders outright.
How to fix it
- 1Set a PTR that names your server (mail.example.co.uk) and make sure that name resolves back to the address.
Re-check after the change
DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to be seen; use Re-run on the result page to bypass our 10-minute cache.
