SPF record longer than 255 characters

What it means

DNS TXT strings are limited to 255 characters; longer records must be split into several quoted strings inside one record, which some control panels get wrong.

How to fix it

  1. 1Check the record is split into multiple strings, not multiple records.
  2. 2Shorten it by removing unused includes or replacing them with ip4/ip6 ranges.

Re-check after the change

DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to be seen; use Re-run on the result page to bypass our 10-minute cache.
