MX lookup
Which servers receive mail for a domain, and are they healthy?
What this check does
Lists the MX hosts in priority order, resolves them, checks reverse DNS and talks SMTP to the top hosts from our London probe.
- MX priority, hosts and addresses
- Reverse DNS with forward confirmation
- SMTP banner, EHLO extensions, STARTTLS and certificate
- Common misconfigurations: CNAME targets, IP literals, unresolvable hosts
